The VW van comes in many different styles and there is sure to be a Volkswagen van which is perfect for your driving needs. Whether searching for a passenger van or cargo van, there are a few places to look when hoping to buy an air cooled van of this variety.

Volkswagen Dealership

Some individuals prefer to buy their vans directly from the dealership itself. If this is the case in your specific situation as well, visiting your local Volkswagen dealership will yield a wealth of results. Since these car dealers specialize in selling Volkswagens, they may have a good amount of air cooled vans on the lot or will be able to order them from the manufacturer or other dealerships.

Used Car Lots

If purchasing a new car is not a necessity for you, then perusing the local used car lots in your town might be a great way to find an air cooled VW van. Certain lots will specialize in foreign make vehicles and setting your sights on used car dealerships such as these might provide you with a better chance of finding a Volkswagen van. In order to save yourself some time on the search for an air cooled van, it might be a good idea to call the used dealerships ahead of time and see if they do in fact carry Volkswagen vehicles and if there are currently any on the car lot.

Online Vehicle Purchases

The Internet is a wonderful avenue of resources these days. There is very little which you cannot find online and finding a VW van which has air conditioning might be highly possible. Certain car auction websites might carry this make and style of vehicle and bidding on a car might yield an extremely favorable price. For those who wish to buy the vehicle outright, try using a search engine to find VW vans for sale. Entering phrases such as “VW van” or “air-conditioned Volkswagen van” might bring up a number of positive results and get you on your way to acquiring a new Volkswagen van with air cooling components.

For Sale by Owner

Another way to find VW vans which have air conditioning installed within them is to look for ones being sold by owner. It may be a bit more difficult to search for a van this way but it is often favorable when finding one via this route as you can bargain on the price a bit more than with dealerships. Since many individuals selling their vehicles on their own may be a bit more eager to sell quickly they might just lower the price enough to make it a great deal. When searching for an air cooled VW van being sold by its current owner, try searching the local newspapers or simply keep an eye out for sale signs on vehicles when driving around town.

When it comes to auto warranty insurance, it is much the same thing as you may have heard of when someone has talked about extended warranties. Do you need it? That depends on how much you want to have to pay for future car repairs and problems.

Generally, when you purchase a car, you will be given a warranty, of some sort, from the dealership. Different car dealers offer various things in their warranties. Some cover any problem you may have with your vehicle. Others are only going to cover very specific problems. Before you sign on to purchase any auto warranty insurance plan, you need to keep a few things in mind.

Be alert for the details in your warranty to be sure your claims are not seriously limited in number or amount spread over the life of the vehicle.

Check what they are saying in consumer reviews both online and in print about the plan you are considering.

The very best warranties are called “exclusionary”. That means they list what is NOT covered rather than what is covered.

How much is your deductible? Will your coverage or cost improve if it is lower?

Who pays for the repairs? Does the warranty company pay up front or do you have to pay and then file for a reimbursement?

There are warranty insurance companies that will pay for the difference between what your car insurance and warranty cover, excluding your deductibles. For example, let’s say you have a good operating car about 4 years old. According to the Kelly Blue Book its trade in value is around $8000.00. After you get over your disappointing reality check about depreciation in vehicles, you learn that if you have damage to your car resulting in $8000 or more, it will mean your car is “totaled.”

So how much of this will your warranty cover? Zilch. The warranty is only valid on a functioning vehicle. You will have to look at your car insurance policy to see what collision coverage you have. But the warranty is useless in this scenario. The confusing terminology of warranty insurance may be what set you up to expect coverage . If you have a $1500 deductible amount on your car insurance, you know you will need to pay that up front. Your car insurance settlement may be less than what you owe the lender for your now damaged or destroyed vehicle. You are then the responsible party for the balance. Not the warranty.

There are warranty insurance policies that cover the balance that remains after all of your warranty items are paid for. But they are uncommon and expensive. Perhaps you ought to take the full “totaled” value of your vehicle from your car insurance company and use it as a down payment for you next car.

There is really no simple answer to the questions of warranties and insurance. You will get what you paid for. But more money does not guarantee a better warranty or stronger insurance policy. Read it carefully. If it is too confusing for you, ask for help so you know just what is covered in your auto warranty insurance policy.

The first question to ask the car transport company is what type of insurance they provide to cover the vehicle which will be transported.

When selecting a car transport company to move your vehicle from Point A to Point B, you may be curious as to how to get the ball rolling. First you have to select a certain company and then arrange for the transport. However, before you settle on a particular company to transport your vehicle, there are a few questions you should ask the company representative to ensure that they will be able to meet your car transportation needs in the best way possible.

The first question to ask the car transport company is what type of insurance they provide to cover the vehicle which will be transported. Ask the company representative about the level of insurance coverage and what is covered. This will provide you with peace of mind that your vehicle and any contents within your car will be protected.

The next question you should ask the vehicle transport company is how long it will take for your car to get to its destination. This is a good thing to know as you don’t want to be without your vehicle for too long and car transports can take awhile depending on where the truck is headed and how many cars it is carrying during the journey. Make sure that you get time estimates on not only the transport time, how long from Point A to Point B, but the pick up time as well, i.e. how long it will take to pick up the vehicle from Point A.

An extremely important question to ask the company revolves around the cost factor. You must find out how much it will cost to transport your car, including any additional, fees or taxes which may be added on. This will allow you to budget accordingly and prepare for spending a specific amount of money on the vehicle transport. It is also a wise idea to find out what forms of payment the company will accept.

You should also ask the company representative if it will be a door-to-door delivery or if you will have to pick up the vehicle from somewhere else near the destination or drop it off at the transport vehicle. This will help you to arrange drop off travel if necessary and let you know what is expected of you with regard to the transport.

Lastly, you should ask the company representative if you are allowed to put anything in the vehicle itself. Some transport companies will allow car owners to put a certain amount of items in their trunk but many refuse to allow the owners to place items within the seating area of the vehicle. When inquiring about this with the transport company, also ask them if the contents within the vehicle are insured as well or if it is just the vehicle which is insured during the transport. A car transport company provides a wonderful way for car owners to get their vehicle from Point A to Point B.

If you’re planning to relocate, auto transport companies can make the process simpler by delivering your car or truck to any specified location. The process of relocating can be time-consuming, and there are many little details to take care of along the way. But using an auto transport company can eliminate at least some of the hassle from moving to another part of the country.

It’s official: Americans relocate more often than any other country in the world. Surveys consistently show that Americans are more likely to move to another town or state than other nationalities, and one reason for this phenomenon is the American willingness to relocate to accept a better job.

American families also tend to have more cars per family than other nationalities, resulting in a potential problem when relocating: how to move one or more vehicles to your new address?

Auto transport companies are a great alternative to driving your car on a long-distance move. The companies charge a fee based on the size, weight and destination of your vehicle, and there are several different transport options available.

The cheapest method of car relocation is by open auto transport. These are the open car carrier trucks you have probably seen on the highway. Delivery time via an open auto transport is normally within seven days, and many times much quicker, depending on your car’s origin and destination.

A safer but more expensive option is to use “enclosed auto transport.” This protects your vehicle from inclement whether, flying rocks on the highway, and other hazards. With most companies, the price for enclosed car transport is 25 to 50% higher than the standard open auto transport, but for expensive or classic vehicles it can be worth the expense. The average delivery time remains roughly the same — within seven days.

Car transport companies are usually listed in the Yellow Pages under “vehicle shipping,” “auto transport,” or “car transport.” You can also locate transport companies online by typing the same terms into your favorite search engine. When considering a company, make sure they are licensed and bonded. This will protect you as a consumer in case anything should go wrong, or if your car is damaged in route to your new home.

To get the best deal on auto transport, it is wise to get competitive quotes from at least three different companies. Also, be sure to consider the total cost of the move. Some companies will attempt to charge hidden fees that are not quoted in their base price, so be sure to specifically ask for a “final price quote,” outlining all charges incurred during the move.

If you are relocating overseas, you will need to find an international auto relocation service. Many of the biggest auto transport companies have affiliates overseas and will be able to offer you a competitive quote on the move. Of course, relocating to a foreign country is often a great deal more expensive — though auto relocation rates to Canada tend to be only slightly higher than within the continental US.

Overall, relocating your car is a simple process, and you’ll find that auto transport companies eliminate much of the hassle from your relocation for a very reasonable cost.
